1. INTRODUCTION/PURPOSE
The City of Bee Cave will hold a General Election on May 6, 2017 for the purpose of electing three Council Members and a Special Election for the purpose of reauthorizing a local sales and use tax at the rate of one-eighth of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets.
2. DESCRIPTION/JUSTIFICATION
a) Background
The City Council approved an Election Agreement in September, 2013 authorizing Travis County to conduct the City’s Elections.
b) Issues and Analysis
The attached Joint Election Agreement is an agreement between all participating entities in this election. Travis County’s estimated cost for Bee Cave for this election is $12,014.29.
