1. INTRODUCTION/PURPOSE
Consider extension on technical review period deadline for Village at Spanish Oaks (aka West Village) Planned Development District Amendment application.
2. DESCRIPTION/JUSTIFICATION
a) Background
On October 26, 2016, the City issued a letter extending the deadlines for filing and consideration of permits applicable to the Spanish Oaks West Village Project. The applicant met the January 24th, 2017 deadline for filing an administratively complete application. The letter also contained an April 24th 2017 deadline for receiving permits.
b) Issues and Analysis
Given the complexity and scale of the project, staff recommends an extension until October 24th, 2017 (6 months) for the applicant to receive permits. This is more in line with typical comment-response timelines for new Planned Development District applications and is necessary to complete the technical review and draft an ordinance for consideration.
