As we discussed at our last meeting, we were contacted by users of the Schoolhouse once we implemented the revised policy last fall.  Local Scout Troop leaders including Ms. Lisa Baker, Ms. Nicole Briggs and Mr. Paul Vickery provided additional correspondence and insight for the challenges associated with finding available space for their regular meetings.  They expressed concerns specifically regarding fees, required deposits and the limitation on how far in advance they could reserve the facility to plan their meetings accordingly. 

After some internal discussions and with the input received, we made minor revisions to the facilities reservation policy that are included in the attached draft ordinance.  Essentially and if approved, local scout troops will be able to use the old Bee Cave Schoolhouse facility located at 13333-A Highway 71 West at no cost and schedule their meetings for no more than two hours per week but up to six months in advance.
