1. INTRODUCTION/PURPOSE
The purpose of this agenda item is for the City Council to hold a public hearing, discuss, and consider action to propose the 2024 tax rate.
2. DESCRIPTION/JUSTIFICATION
a) Background
The Travis Central Appraisal District provided the Certified Tax Roll on July 19th with a Net Taxable Value of $3,243,361,100 reflecting an increase value of ~$21M and $29M of new property. In our prior budget work sessions, we discussed maintaining a tax rate at 0.02 per $100.00 valuation.
b) Issues and Analysis
We will provide the City Council with an update including additional details during the agenda item discussion Tuesday evening.
